ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The New Mexico Lottery Authority (NMLA) has a full-time position available in our
dynamic Information Technology Division. Duties include but are not limited to:
assist and perform (conduct) in evaluating, coding, testing, installing, and
debugging computer programs and systems/applications software. To enhance the
existing programming and analysis methodologies skill set by performing analysis
and evaluation of user information technology needs and by performing related
work. A Working knowledge of one or more commonly used programming or 4th
generation languages, including the testing and debugging of computer programs
and systems preferred. Knowledge of basic system hardware and system design
including information system procedures and concepts. Possession of an
Associate’s degree in data processing technologies, computer programmer
technologies, computer/information sciences, or equivalent from an accredited
college or university preferred or must possess sufficient prior applicable work
experience wherein the skills and abilities to perform the position’s essential
functions have been amply demonstrated Must be able to work in a high security

SECURITY OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
The New Mexico Lottery Authority (NMLA) is seeking to fill a position as a
full-time Security Operations Technician. Job duties include, but are not
limited to; shipment of lottery tickets, conducting on line drawings, general
warehouse duties and facility and fleet maintenance. Knowledge of and able to
operate machinery e.g. shredders, pallet jacks, forklift etc., is preferred, and
must be able to lift items weighing 70 lbs. Working conditions include standing,
walking, kneeling, handling, stooping, lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy
objects and occasional climbing. Must provide great attention to detail in a
very challenging work environment. Basic computer knowledge is required
including Window based programs. Working hours may vary. Applicants must have
High School Diploma or equivalent and must be able to pass an extensive
background investigation and have a valid NM driver’s license. Starting salary
for this position is $11.16 per hour and also includes a comprehensive benefit

COMPUTER OPERATOR - PT
New Mexico Lottery Authority (NMLA) has a part-time position available in the IT Department as a Part-time Computer Operator. Schedule is Monday through Saturday, 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. and the hourly rate is $11.16 per hour. Duties include but are not limited to; monitoring and operating system mainframe hardware to process required data and informational reports. Performs assigned activities of the computer room, runs production programs, verifies processing of nightly draw tapes, operates peripheral equipment, e.g., printers, consoles and PC’s. Initiates report printing. Balances and verifies completed report results against established balancing schedules. Organizes and collates reports and delivers or routes to users. Produces data backup files and records. Reports malfunctions and other system and equipment problems; may troubleshoot within capabilities. Basic knowledge of computer equipment operation. High school education or equivalency is required. Must be able to work in a high security environment. Must be able to pass an extensive background check and have a valid NM driver’s license.
