ALBUQUERQUE – The player with a winning Powerball ticket worth $10,000 has until Nov. 11 to claim the prize from the New Mexico Lottery.
The prize-winning ticket is from the game’s Aug. 13 drawing. It was purchased in Roswell at the Roadrunner Food Store located at 3300 N. Main St. It is not known if the player lives in Roswell, elsewhere in New Mexico or another state.
The ticket matches the red Powerball of 4 and four of the five winning white ball numbers of 9, 12, 35, 50 and 58.
To claim the $10,000 prize, the player must return the ticket to the lottery by Nov. 11 at 4:30 p.m. Lottery officials said the winning ticket should be signed immediately since it is a bearer instrument.
Prizes for all New Mexico Lottery drawing games must be claimed within 90 calendar days of the draw date. Deadlines to claim prizes are printed on the back of all New Mexico Lottery tickets.
On Oct. 14, a Hot Lotto ticket worth $10,000 expired unclaimed. It was sold in Bernalillo.
Unclaimed prizes are returned to the prize pool for future New Mexico Lottery games.
