As you have probably heard, COVID-19 has impacted Powerball starting jackpots. Nationally, fewer people are playing so the jackpot had to be adjusted and will now be based on sales and interest rates.
As a result of this jackpot change, the New Mexico Lottery is offering Lottery Bucks to players who purchased New Mexico Lottery Powerball multi-draw tickets under both the following conditions:
- The ticket was purchased on or before April 8, 2020, and
- The ticket must have the multi-draw option with at least one draw AFTER April 8, 2020 remaining on the ticket.
A player with a multi-draw Powerball ticket meeting the above conditions can take a picture of the ticket and email the picture and the player’s mailing address to CustService@NMLottery.com no later than July 31, 2020.
The Lottery will review the requests and mail Lottery Bucks equal to the purchase price of draws remaining after April 8, 2020 on the ticket(s). Requests are limited to 50 Lottery Bucks ($50 value) per household. Please be patient with us as Lottery employees are working remotely because of COVID-19. Mailing may be delayed for some period of time.
Players should keep their original tickets because they are still eligible to win a Powerball prize in any of the remaining draws on the tickets.
Powerball tickets purchased after April 8, 2020 and tickets with all drawings completed April 8, 2020 and prior are not eligible for this offer.
