ALBUQUERQUE – The estimated Powerball® jackpot for Saturday, October 2, 2021 has grown to $620 million.
This is the 6th highest jackpot in Powerball game history and the highest the Powerball jackpot has been since January, when dueling jackpot runs produced a $731.1 million Powerball jackpot and a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot.
In August, Powerball added a third weekly draw night on Mondays to produce bigger and faster-growing jackpots, increase the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded to players and increase contributions to funding vital public programs and services in each jurisdiction where the Powerball game is sold.
New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden said, “The addition of Monday night Powerball draws has led to faster-growing jackpots. This makes the game fun for Powerball players and more importantly helps increase money raised for New Mexico students.”
New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:00 p.m. MT Saturday to buy tickets for the next Powerball drawing.
How to Play Powerball
