How do you get a Legislative Lottery Scholarship?
Scholarship eligibility has been established by the State Legislature.
The state’s Higher Education Department administers the program. Please contact HED for eligibility information.

The New Mexico Lottery raises money for the Legislative Lottery Scholarship program while the New Mexico Higher Education Department oversees the entire program. Oftentimes, state legislators will propose changes to the program. You may wish to share your suggestion with your state legislator or the New Mexico Higher Education Department.

Can I apply for a Lottery Scholarship at the Lottery office?
No. The New Mexico Lottery does not administer scholarships. Our mission is to provide the maximum amount of revenue for New Mexico education through the operation of a fair, honest lottery for the entertainment of the public.
