ALBUQUERQUE – The estimated Powerball® jackpot for the Monday, October 24, 2022, draw has been increased to $625 million.
This is the second time this year that the Powerball jackpot has been above $600 million. The last time the Powerball jackpot was above $600 million was for the January 5 drawing, when tickets in California and Wisconsin split a $632.6 million jackpot.
New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden said, “Our students are already winners since Lottery sales in New Mexico help fund Legislative Lottery Scholarships. And we’d love to have another Powerball winner in New Mexico. Just remember — please play responsibly.”
The Powerball jackpot has been hit five times in 2022. If the jackpot is hit in New Mexico, it will be the sixth time the Powerball jackpot has been won in New Mexico. It would also be the largest jackpot won in New Mexico.
New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:00 p.m. MT on Monday to buy tickets for the October 24th Powerball draw.
