ALBUQUERQUE – The estimated Powerball® jackpot for the Monday, April 1, 2024 draw has been raised to $1 billion.
This is the 5th largest Powerball jackpot in U.S. lottery history and the first time in 2024 that the Powerball jackpot has risen to $1 billion.

If the jackpot is hit in New Mexico, it will be the sixth time the Powerball jackpot has been won in New Mexico. It would also be the largest jackpot won in New Mexico.
New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:00 p.m. MT tonight to buy tickets for the April 1st Powerball draw.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Drawings are broadcast live from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Powerball drawings are also live streamed online at Powerball.com.
The New Mexico Lottery also offers an add-on option called Powerball Double Play®. For an additional $1 per play, players have a chance to match their Powerball numbers in a second drawing for a chance to win up to $10 million. This drawing occurs after the regular Powerball draw on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
