ALBUQUERQUE – The “MONOPOLY*” game, one of the world’s most popular games with millions of fans around the globe, is now the subject of the New Mexico Lottery’s new Scratcher.
The $3 “MONOPOLY” Scratcher™ features 15 chances to win. Revealing the game’s “train” symbol doubles a prize. Revealing the MR. MONOPOLY character wins all 15 prizes. The game features top prizes of $25,000.
The MONOPOLY game was introduced in 1935 and has been translated into 43 languages and sold in 111 countries. In the past 78 years, many millions of people have played the game.
Legislative Lottery Scholarships
Net revenues from the sale of all New Mexico Lottery games benefit the Legislative Lottery Scholarship program, which provides in-state tuition assistance for New Mexico residents attending public colleges and universities.
Since its inception in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $560 million for education and more than 82,600 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
