ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Lottery is giving away Hot Lotto® tickets.
Now through June 1, players will get a free $1 quick-pick Hot Lotto ticket for buying a $5 Hot Lotto wager. The $5 purchase can include any combination of plays such as multiple wagers for the same drawing, wagers for future drawings, or the Sizzler feature to multiply non-jackpot prizes as long as everything is printed on the same ticket.
When the qualifying purchase is made, the free Hot Lotto ticket will print automatically from the store sales terminal.
The jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing is $6.16 million.
Hot Lotto is played in 16 lotteries. New Mexico joined the game in 2006. Since then, five New Mexico Lottery players have landed Hot Lotto jackpots.
The game’s starting jackpot is $1 million. Hot Lotto jackpot winners win the entire advertised cash amount.
In addition to the jackpot, there are eight ways to win playing Hot Lotto. Prizes range between $2 and $30,000. For an additional $1 per wager, players can add a feature called “Sizzler” to triple non-jackpot prizes.
Hot Lotto drawings occur on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Tickets can be purchased on drawing nights up to 8 p.m. Mountain Time.
