ALBUQUERQUE – A Powerball player from New Mexico woke up a millionaire this morning.
The winning ticket sold for last night’s drawing matched the white ball numbers of 8, 18, 45, 53 and 58 to win $1 million. The ticket missed the red Powerball of 35 to land the night’s jackpot of $90 million.
Another 2,500 Powerball tickets in New Mexico won a total of $17,756.
The New Mexico Lottery recommends that all players sign their tickets immediately. Prizes from last night’s drawing must be claimed within the next 90 days. The $1 million prize must be claimed in person at lottery headquarters in Albuquerque.
This is New Mexico’s third Powerball millionaire of 2014. In January, Brian Heim of Las Cruces won $1 million. In April, Albuquerque resident Robert Swartwood won $2 million.
